Today I finally got to doing Suminagashi. At first I messed up the mix of dishwashing liquid and water so It wasnt working great but once I figured it out I was able to get a very distinct line and marbling. I changed the paper from hard paper to newspring to make sure the ink gets absorbed by the paper properly. I knew sketchbook paper often has a coating on it so It was good to replace it with a newsprint. Although the lines could've been clearer if I got a brighter piece of paper but I got the ink to stick onto the paper without bleeding so I was happy enough.

The process of Suminagashi was so soothing and relaxing that I started off by saying ill make 10 i ended up making more than double the original amount. Because everytime I put the ink down you get some new shape or line. It was difficult to decide an endpoint and put an end to the prints. One thing I learned is that with experiments there are three stages. First stage is the learning stage. This is when you are making mistakes and are still experimenting. Second stage is when it starts to be more refined and you are getting good at producing and become comfortable within it so you can take more risks. The third stage is when you are repeatedly doing something and it gets too crazy because you keep on adding stuff and that's when I realized that I exhausted the idea completely.

scan the newsprint and then extract shape and detail lines from it.
Drawings more detailed to support the ink drip drawings.
Put it on the body and collage it.
Make a sample with chicken wire and fabric.
Scan the suminagashi prints and overlay it and draw or collage?
Buy fabric or walk around the fabric store to see if there are anything interesting.
